Jeremy Gottschalk

Jeremy Gottschalk, Editor-In-Chief

Navy veteran and journalist Jeremy Gottschalk earned his dual associates in Digital Media and General Studies from Valencia College. He is currently attending UCF, applying for the Nicholson School of Media (NSM). Gottschalk earned the Student News Organizations (SNO) “Best Of” award for his 2024 article “Pup, Pup and Away”. Gottschalk was recognized as the Florida College Systems Activities Association February 2024 Student of the Month. His higher education in both journalism and cyber security make him an asset to the student media program.

Gottschalk is a former college newspaper Editor-in-Chief for University of the Pacific’s "The Pacifican" and a former National Security Agency cryptologic technician cyber analyst. An 11-year Navy veteran, he has traveled to over 30 countries. While not in school, Jeremy volunteers at community events, completes DuoLingo courses in French, Spanish and German, and enjoys nature activities such as thru hiking the 2000-mile Appalachian Trail and making viral TikTok videos.
