Breaking News: Student Removed By East Campus Security, Calls Professor Racial Slur

Jeremy Gottschalk, Editor-In-Chief

Verified sources have confirmed a Valencia East Campus student was removed this afternoon from Bldg. 1 following a disagreement between the student and their professor resulting in a racial slur being used. East Campus acted swiftly to remove the student and class was cancelled following the incident. Valencia Voice contacted East Campus Security on the status of the student and were told they would be unable to comment until the case has been reviewed by administration. We reached out to Valencia College’s Public Relations Office who cannot share details about students’ statuses due to privacy laws and FERPA, but the case is pending review. Valencia Voice will be updating this news story as it develops.
