Filmapalooza Is Coming To Orlando

Filmapalooza, an international film festival celebrating the 48 Hour Film Project, will take place at the Marriott of Downtown Orlando on March 6th through 9th.

This four-day festival will feature networking events, workshops, parties and the 48-hour films created by participants. Filmmakers must create a short film containing an assigned genre, characters, props and dialogue in just 48 hours, and the winning film will be decided at Filmapalooza.

There will be a screening of the Best Film winners from over 120 cities that were a part of the 2018 tour and a screening of the global “Best of 48HFP” films. The film festival will also show the special genre competition film winners, and presentation of Virtual Reality films.

During Filmapalooza, all of the Global Award winners from this year’s tour will be announced. The winners from different cities attending Filmapoolza will be presented with their official Best Film trophy during the Awards Ceremony on the final day of the event. At the very end of the festival, one film will be titled “World’s Best 48 Hour Film of 2018.” The 48 Hour Film Project entries that will be going to the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 will be also announced.
