RNC 2016: Tuesday Preview
Day two at The Republican Convention will revolve around the theme of “Make America Work Again.” Donald Trump and Gov. Mike Pence will also formally be announced by the state delegates as the parties presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
The Republican Party will look to pick up momentum after Melania Trump’s speech controversy Monday night, in which she was accused of plagiarizing Michelle Obama’s speech from the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Amongst the marquee speakers on tab for Tuesday night are House Speaker Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, as well as Trump’s former Republican primary competitors New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Dr. Ben Carson.
The family theme will also continue, as Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany Trump will also take the podium.
The convention will be broadcast live on C-SPAN.
CBS, NBC and ABC plan coverage from 10 to 11 p.m. daily.(ET)
PBS will be on the air at 8 p.m. (ET) each night.
CNN will be focusing on the convention 24-hours a day starting at 1 p.m. (ET)
Fox News Channel will feature convention coverage each night starting at 8 p.m. (ET)
MSNBC will have over 20 hours of daily coverage of the convention.
CBS will be offering a live stream of the convention.
The RNC will also be providing its own live stream.
