Solar Bears return to Orlando for three-game homestand

The Orlando Solar Bears are returning from a nine-game road trip to play three different games on their home ice at the Amway Center, with the first game is against defending Kelly Cup champions, the Cincinnati Cyclones this Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.

After a hot streak of 11 wins, then losing twice in a row to the Kalamazoo Wings, The Solar Bears went on the road for nine games, coming out 5-4 after the away stint was over.

Before leaving for the road, the Solar Bears, with the help of the 11 game streak, made their way to second in their conference. Since the recent road trip, they have been knocked back to fourth place with 80 points, behind Kalamazoo, Reading, and South Carolina.

The Solar Bears only have a set of games left against Reading and will not play Kalamazoo or North Carolina throughout the remainder of the season, so Orlando will need help if they hope to get the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

With only nine games left in the season, the Solar Bears have a chance at being a serious contender for the Kelly Cup.

After Wednesday’s game against Kalamazoo, Orlando will face the Evansville IceMen for a two-game series on March 27 and March 29.

Tickets for this Wednesday’s game, as well as the following games are available online at Ticketmaster.com
