ORLANDO — Orlando City’s Tuesday night’s home match against VSI Tampa Bay was cancelled due to inclement weather, after nearly an hour of delays before the match.

There has been no date announced yet for when the game against VSI Tampa Bay will be rescheduled. Fans who had tickets for the April 30th game will be allowed entry to the rescheduled match with proof of their ticket stub.

The match against VSI Tampa Bay was going to be Orlando City’s first match against their new rivals from across the state.

The Flames were coming into the game with a 3-3-0, losing 1-0 to the Dayton Dutch Lions on Friday, April 26 at Plant City Stadium.

Meanwhile the Lions were going into the game with a 4-1-1 record, riding a 21-game unbeaten streak at home after defeating Dayton 4-0 this past Saturday at home in front of a regular season record crowd of 9,589.

This was the first cancelled game in the franchise’s history.

Orlando City’s next game is at home against the Antigua Barracudas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Field at the Citrus Bowl.
