Study Abroad Opens Eyes

“I definitely do feel a bit against it. I understand that he may be trying to look out of the best of the military, as it is. Trying to make sure that they have the best of the best out there because there are other countries looking at us at the moment. However, I do believe that if you do understand the consequences of enlisting you should be able to enlist whether you are male, female or transgender, whoever you are. So, I am seeing both sides of the coin. Honestly I can’t really say that I am against it. I can’t say that I am for it.” -Olga Mendez, 21 years old
