Is it a gas station? Is it a theme park? Pack your walking shoes and save your appetite when planning to visit this Central Florida area “attraction”. With several locations across the United States, Buc-ee’s keeps its word for being clean, fast, and safe.
Becoming a favorite in communities since 1982, Buc-ee’s mission stays the same, providing the world’s cleanest restrooms, friendly service and stocked goodies for the road. Buc-ee’s holds the World Record title of the World’s Longest Carwash measuring 255 feet long and offers 50,000 square feet of space and 104 gas pumps at the Daytona Beach location.
“I can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!” Hunter Taylor, 22, explained when talking about Buc-ee’s. Taylor, from Winter Springs, was on his fourth trip to Buc-ee’s.
“My favorite part is the food, it’s pretty cheap for the most part,” Taylor explained, “Whenever they put brisket on the board, they all start yelling something in unison; it’s really cool and they’re really nice.”
A quarter of Buc-ee’s interior space is dedicated to home decor and seasonal displays for every room in the house. Across from home decor is the souvenir sections where there is ‘Buc-ee’s’ anything. The other half of the store is dedicated to food and snacks.
Friendly faces surround the store welcoming customers at all times of the day. Kristine Schou, 29, a native Floridian, was visiting Buc-ee’s while she tours the state.
“This is one of my many stops,” she explained. When asked if she would recommend Buc-ee’s to friends and family she responded, “Heck yeah! I love that it is so chill and when you get out of your car, you’re not worried about your safety. They have homey decorations and the cleanest bathrooms; I feel so safe.”
Payton Aelker, 29, is from Lake Mary and it is not her first time at the Daytona Beach Buc-ee’s. When asked if she would recommend Buc-ee’s to friends and family, she replied, “I would; I think it’s really cool, it’s like a grocery store, sort of like a convenience store and a gas station,” she explained,” it’s like a dollar and some change cheaper from where I’m from.”
Among the 50 nationwide locations is the Daytona Beach store just 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Valencia College East Campus. Students and faculty can stop by for lunch and/or road snacks the next time they head to Daytona Beach.
