2016 UCF National Signing Day

New UCF head football coach Scott Frost and the rest of his coaching staff completed their first signing class with the Knights this week, as 20 players will be donning the Black and Gold for the upcoming season.

“We had a lot of fun putting this class together,” Frost said. “I can’t thank my staff enough. The job my staff did is unbelievable to get this kind of signing class put together in such a short amount of time. We didn’t have the whole staff the entire time in recruiting. In a short amount of time what they were able to get done with this class is amazing. I can’t wait to see what they can do when they have more time to recruit.”

The 2016 class was headlined by four star wide receiver Dredrick Snelson, who originally was committed to the University of Minnesota. Snelson, who was offered scholarships by every major FBS program, flipped the switch on signing day, opting to go with the Knights. Another marquee signee was offensive lineman Aaron Dowdell, who was also rated as a four star prospect according to Rivals.com.
