ORLANDO — Self-proclaimed “Benjamin Button of comedy” Seth Meyers is winding the clock back five years and taking his stand-up comedy act on the road.

Meyers, who is best known for his role as the head writer to NBC sketch comedy series, “Saturday Night Live,” and sole anchor to the show’s longest running recurring sketch “Weekend Update” is no stranger to the big stage.

“I’m serving a greater premise at work, which is that I’m one cog in the machine that is ‘SNL.’ But if I sat at ‘Weekend Update’ and talked about my own life it would be incredibly indulgent,” said Meyers in a recent interview with Reverb’s John Wenzel. “With ‘SNL’ you come up with a lot of ideas that don’t fit and it’s fun to have another outlet to try to get those things out there.”

Catch Meyers with Colin Jost Monday, March 25 at the UCF Arena presented by CAB Comedy.  Doors open up at 8:00 p.m. with the show starting promptly at 9:00 p.m.

General public tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the UCF Arena Box Office or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com/Seth-Meyers-tickets/artist/1466659.

Current UCF students are free and must pick up their tickets at the front desk of the Office of Student Involvement located on the second floor of the Student Union in room 208.

Jost, the 28-year-old comedian, was selected as a “new face” at the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs Festival in 2009.  Jost has written for SNL since he was 22 years old and has been a writing supervisor since 2009.  He has also made guest appearances on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” as well as on TBS and HBO.

So head on out, you don’t want miss this incredible opportunity to have lots of laughs and see comedy giant Seth Meyers live at the UCF Arena.
