EAST CAMPUS — The Valencia Spring Dance Concert is this weekend at the Performing Arts Center at East Campus with free admission for students.
This concert will include both Valencia and Rollins College students, faculty and guest artist Jaime Martinez, former Parsons Dance Company dancer.
The Concert will feature an excerpt from David Parson’s “Nascimento,” restaged by Martinez, as well as a tribute to Elvis choreographed by Valencia College artistic director Lesley Brasseax Rodgers, according to the Valencia dance department.
Also featured will be “Out of the Closet,” a jazz piece choreographed by Rollins College director of dance Dr. W. Robert Sherry.
With the positive reception of the “Choreographer’s Showcase” last fall, this Spring Concert is sure to please.
Performances are March 22-23 at 8pm. General admission is $12. Faculty, staff, senior citizens and other college student admissions, with ID, are $10. Valencia student admission is free.
