Local Orlando artist Helaine Schneider will be debuting her artwork at Valencia College’s East Campus in an exhibit entitled Everyone’s Talking, No One Is Listening, located at the Anita S. Wooten Gallery in Building 3. Schneider’s artwork consists of ceramic, three-dimensional figures and sculptures.
There will be an opening night reception on January 17th from 5 to 7 p.m in the gallery, which will begin with a live performance from the Valencia Dance Group, and will then be followed by a speech by Schneider. The gallery will be free and open to the public and will operate until March 8th, with the visiting hours set at 8:30 a.m to 4:30 pm – Monday through Friday.
“We have the choice to focus on what we have in common with each other and celebrate our sameness or focus on thoughts that perpetuate the illusion of separation and isolation,” Schneider said on the exhibit. “This exhibit is about leaning in and listening.”
