‘3 in Motion’ is going on its 12th year.

Valencia College dancers will bring art to life this Friday in a collaboration with Dr. Phillips High School and “Yow Dance” performers.

On Friday, Jan. 27 from 8 to 9:30 p.m., Valencia College Dance Theatre, Dr. Phillips High School dance company, and “Yow Dance” will move in sync together at the Valencia College East Campus Performing Arts Center.

Known as “3 in Motion,” this is a show in which talented dancers come together “to exhibit the art of modern dance,” Suzanne Salapa, Valencia College Dance Department Chair, said.

Akylah Cox, president of Dr. Phillips High School Dance Magnet Program, explained that this unique performance is essentially “three pieces for the National Adjudication of Dance: emergence, spectrum and rhapsody, which means “celebration,” and that “3 in Motion exposes high school, college and professional levels of dance.”

Tickets can be purchased at the Valencia College Box Office. General Admission tickets are $12; Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff and Seniors are $10; and Children ages 12 are $6.00.
