LIVE BLOG: Orlando City vs. Real Salt Lake (Season Opener)

Cyle Larin won the MLS 2015 Rookie of the Year award.

Orlando City SC open up the 2016 with a home game against Real Salt Lake with a Sunday afternoon kickoff from the Citrus Bowl.

The Lions will be without their captain Kaka and will play with Brek Shea in the midfield and Luke Boden at left back.

First Half:

19′ Larin goes down after a nasty tackle by Phillips, he receives his second yellow of the game and he is gone for the game. RSL is down to 10 men.

14′ RSL’s Juan Manuel Martinez gets past the OCSC back line and get a a shot off which is cleared out of bounds by Orlando.

11′ Orlando City gets a free kick near the box after Demar Phillips gets a yellow card.

7′ Larin finishes a nice touch pass by Brek Shea, but the offside flag comes out late and the goal is waved off.

6′ Kevin Molino gets a good opportunity at goal but it’s blocked by Rimando, the RSL keeper.

4′ Salt Lake gets a cross into the box but it is headed away by the OC defender.
