The UCF Knights (0-3) are looking for their first win of the season as the take on the South Carolina Gamecocks at noon from Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

Fourth Quarter:

11:30 – UCF’s fourth down conversion fails and it is South Carolina ball on their own 36.

11:37 – UCF calls a timeout to discuss if they will go for it on 4th and 6 from the South Carolina 36-yard line.

13:01 – The Knights are moving the chains and there is still some hope left on the UCF sideline.

14:14 – UCF gets a first down on a C.J. Jones rush and the Knights have 1st and 10 at their own 48.

Third Quarter:

0:00 – South Carolina takes a 28-14 lead into the fourth quarter.

1:47 – Nunez throws another long touchdown pass, this one to Cooper and UCF now trails 28-14. South Carolina has scored 20 unanswered points to open the third quarter, 13 of those points are off turnovers.

2:18 – Nunez decides to keep it on third down and gets the first down. He’s now over 100 yards rushing for the game.

3:14 – Schneider throws another interception and it looks like all the momentum is gone for UCF right now.

4:30 – UCF will start their drive from the 17-yard line trailing 22-14.

4:39 – Nunez extends the Gamecock lead to 22-14 with a 13-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jacob August.

6:00 – Nunez hits a wide open Carlton Heard for a first down and South Carolina have a 1st and 10 from the UCF 17.

6:15 – Schneider is intercepted at the UCF 41-yard line and South Carolina has good field position leading 15-14.

7:41 – Pharaoh Cooper rushes 29 yards while breaking at least four tackles before scoring a touchdown. South Carolina leads 15-14.

8:16 – South Carolina is moving the chains and are threatening to score. 1st and 10 from the UCF 29.

9:07 – UCF is forced to punt and South Carolina will start the drive form their own 26-yard line.

9:28 – Schneider throws a deep pass that is nearly intercepted but the South Carolina defender can’t come down with the ball.

11:23 – UCF will start their drive from the 14-yard line after the South Carolina punt.

12:20 – Nunez is sacked and the Gamecocks face a third and long, Nunez pass is incomplete and South Carolina will send out the punt team.

13:28 – Nunez hits Cooper for a first down and South Carolina is near midfield.

13:46 – UCF goes three-and-out on their first drive of the second half and the Knights will send out the punt team. South Carolina will start the drive from their own 31.

15:00 – UCF will start their drive from the 25-yard line after a touchback. The Knights are then called for a false start and will face 1st and 20.

15:00 – UCF will start the second half with the ball leading 14-8.

Second Quarter:

0:00 – UCF runs out the clock and take a 14-8 lead into the locker room at halftime.

1:09 – Burkett comes up with the pass break up in the end zone and SC will settle for a short field goal. UCF leads 14-8.

1:16 – South Carolina will face 3rd and goal from the 9.

1:58 – UCF is called for offsides and SC will have 1st and goal from the UCF 10-yard line.

1:58 – Nunez moves the chains again with his arm, South Carolina are in the red zone now. 1st and 10 from the UCF 15 for the Gamecocks.

3:11 – Nunez goes 29-yards on the ground and South Carolina are at the UCF 24.

3:55 – Nunez completes a 17-yard pass to move the chains for South Carolina. 1st and 10 from their own 47 coming up.

5:10 SC start their drive from the 29-yard line trailing 14-5.

5:18 – Bo Schneider hits Smith for a touchdown, completing a drive where he went 5-5 for 79 yards including three passes to Smith.

7:35 – Schneider hits Smith for another first down and the freshman has completed his last three passes.

8:39 – Schneider hits Tre’Quan Smith for a first down and UCF are starting to move the chains.

9:14 – South Carolina will be forced to punt and UCF will get a possession with the lead.

9:24 – Nunez tries to go deep but UCF’s Kyle Gibson is there for the pass break up.

11:04 – Nick Patti scores on a keeper out of the Wild Knights and UCF leads 7-5.

11:12 – UCF recovers the muffed punt and will get the ball on the South Carolina 1.

11:45 – The Knights fall three yards short of the first down and will be forced to punt. UCF is then called for a false start, moving them back five yards.

12:06 – UCF moves the chains with a pass from Schneider to Jordan Franks but now the Knights face 3rd and 10 after two straight incompletions.

14:02 – The Gamecocks punt it away and UCF will start their drive from the 21-yard line trailing 5-0. The Knights have three yards of total offense going into this drive.

14:36 – South Carolina is changing it up, Perry Orth is in at quarterback instead of Nunez.

14:36 – South Carolina will start their drive from the 33-yard line leading 5-0.

14:42 – Taj McGowan is stuffed in the end zone and South Carolina gets the safety, Gamecocks lead 5-0.

14:48 – SC punts it on fourth down and UCF will start their drive from their own 2-yard line.

First Quarter:

0:00 – South Carolina face a 4th and 2 from the UCF 43. Spurrier will have a decision to make here. UCF had five yards of total offense during the opening quarter, in comparison Lorenzo Nunez has 94 yards between rushing and passing.

2:22 – Houston’s punt goes out at the SC 32-yard line, Gamecocks will have 1st and 10 from their own 32.

2:56 – Schneider is sacked and UCF will punt again, this time from their 23-yard line.

4:20 – South Carolina try a 49-yard field goal but this one goes off the upright and UCF still trails 3-0.

5:10 – Jeremy Boykins is down on the field, he gets looked at by the trainers but comes off the field on his own power.

6:29 – Nunez finds a corner and runs for 23 yards and gets the first down.

7:00 – South Carolina facing a 3rd and 4 from their own 42.

7:53 – South Carolina returns the punt to their own 36-yard line to start the Gamecocks second drive of the game.

8:09 – Schneider is flushed out of the pocket and forced to throw it away. The Knights will be forced to punt it away.

8:55 – Schneider tries to go long to Payton but he over throws his receiver.

9:42 – Tristan Payton returns the kickoff to the UCF 20 and the Knights will start their first drive of the game.

9:47 – SC brings out the kicker for a 52-yard field goal and he sneaks it over the goal post for three. Gamecocks lead UCF 3-0.

11:23 – Nunez passes to Adams and South Carolina has another first down, 1st and 10 at the UCF 33 now.

12:44 – Nunez goes for 12 yards on a keeper and South Carolina has another first down.

14:43 – UCF nearly picks off Nunez on the first play from scrimmage, but the defender drops the sure pick.

14:53 – South Carolina will start the game from their own 26-yard line.

15:00 – UCF wins the coin toss and will defer to the second half. We are about to be underway from Columbia, SC.

Keys to victory for UCF:

1. The Knights need to win the turnover battle, with the field being wet from the rain UCF will need to take advantage of a young South Carolina offense and cause some turnovers early.
2. UCF needs to get the passing game going against the Gamecocks, Bo Schneider will need to get comfortable early and make sure he hits all his open receivers when he has the opportunity. Look for Tristan Payne to have a big game receiving.
3. Play with confidence. The Knights need to play as if they know they belong when they take the field against South Carolina despite being on a three-game losing streak.

Pre-game:

Justin Holman is suited up for UCF and went through some of the quarterback drills with the offense, but Bo Schneider will get the start under center for the Knights.
