Constitution Day comes to West Campus
A country’s constitution is not just a piece of paper written for fun, it’s an important document written for governing purposes laying out laws and rights. But how does it affect you as a student on the local level?
That’s where Constitution Day comes in. Sponsored by The Student Government Association on September 16th, 2015 in the Special Events Building of the West Campus ( Bldg. 8) from 11:00am-1:00pm.
“The reason for this event is to explain to students the importance of the Constitution and the affects it has on the student in local politics” said Yves the Treasurer of Student Government.
There will be a special guest speaker Tiffany Moore Russell the Orange County Clerk of Courts and the Model United Nations club will host Constitution Jeopardy to win prizes.
There also will be free food and gift cards so every student is encouraged to come out to not only have fun but to also receive valuable information and to engage their local representative.
