Usher to wrap up North American leg of ‘UR Exprience Tour’ with three Florida shows

Usher will begin the international leg of “The UR Experience Tour” on Feb. 28, 2015 with a show in Germany.

Usher has returned to the headlining stage after a three-year hiatus and makes his way to Florida this weekend to close out the North American leg of his “The UR Experience Tour.”

The tour hits Orlando this Friday, Dec. 12, and will then travel to Miami and Tampa on the consecutive days. Tickets for the Orlando date at Amway Center are $35 to $150; they may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com.

Usher recently unscheduled the release of his eighth studio album “UR,” so that he could take his time with it, according to an interview he did with Billboard. Since the release of his debut album he has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and has won won numerous awards including eight Grammy awards.

In addition to serving as a mentor to many rising artist, Usher has served as a coach for two seasons on NBC’s Emmy award winning hit TV show “The Voice,” helping lead Josh Kaufman to the season six champion title. Outside of music, he also has a career in Hollywood. In film “Hands of Stone,” due out early 2015, a biopic of champion boxer Roberto Duran which co-stars Robert De Niro, he will star as boxer Sugar Ray Leonard

Usher will be joined by August Alsina and DJ Cassidy. Alsina is a r&b singer signed to Def Jam Recordings, and released his debut studio album “Testimony” in mid-April of this year. The album reached the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No.2 on the Billboard 200. The project speaks on his troubled past and romantic endeavors; It received generally positive reviews. Alsina has worked with artist like Chris Brown, Young Jeezy, Future and DJ Khaled to name a few. At the conclusion of touring as support with Usher, he is set to take his “Testimony Live” tour overseas.
