Orlando Predators kick off season Sunday at CFE Arena

Spring is in the air, the Super Bowl is long over and the NFL lies virtually dormant until the fall. The Orlando Predators Arena Football Team start its 2014 season on March 19 at the CFE Arena to fill your need for some action-packed football.

After finishing the 2013 season with a 7-11 record and losing in the first round of the playoffs, the team is looking to turn their luck around and bring home another championship.

“11-26 in the last two years is unacceptable and I think Central Floridians as well as the city of Orlando need to know that our expectations are of the highest and for a championship season. So championship or bust, that’s how we look at it,” said new head Coach Rob Keefe.

The organization signed 14 new players and hired new coaching staff in this years offseason in hopes that the new faces can bring the team back to champion status.

Joining the offensive squad this year is former Florida State Seminole wide receiver Greg Carr as well as University of Miami graduate and wide receiver Kendal Thompkins.

Leading the offense is quarterback Jason Boltus, who joined the Predators this offseason, came from the Utah Blaze and completed 118 of 188  of his passes gaining 1,425 yards and throwing for 31 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

The team hits the field this Sunday March 16, at the CFE Arena on the UCF campus against the Jacksonville Sharks. Kickoff is at 4:00 pm.
