The University of Central Florida honored all military veterans with a display of appreciation during the Golden Knights football game against the University of Missouri Tigers. The game featured several military recognitions and a mobile museum of Vietnam-era military vehicles.
UCF alumni Lt. Bradley Miles piloted, along with one other pilot, an airplane in a flyover that occurred before the game. The school honored Miles during halftime along with a group of his fellow veterans.
The Knights also have a veteran on the team. Junior walk-on Kelly Davison spent five years as a marine before enrolling at UCF.
The campus is also home to the Veterans Commemorative Site landmark on Memory Mall, a field located between the Student Union and the UCF Arena.
