Organizers Alex Gonzalez and Zale Lugo are set to inspire Ocoee with a touch of nostalgia, showcasing a collection of 41 vendors offering timeless vintage clothing pieces, vintage jewelry, anime, and more at their highly anticipated Off the Rack Market event at Lakeshore Center, 125 N Lakeshore Dr., Ocoee, FL, on Sept 20 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Off The Rack Market is an event created to showcase and support small local businesses that specialize in various areas of fashion, such as vintage pieces, crochet, and jewelry. Gonzalez and Lugo aim to create a night filled with diversity, inclusion, and fun. The duo seeks to offer something for every vintage enthusiast, making it a must-visit occasion for those looking to add a sense of vintage flair and community to their wardrobe, while helping other fashion entrepreneurs and students find the pieces they’ve been searching for.
Off The Rack Market is designed to connect people who are passionate about unique, hard-to-find vintage fashion pieces while providing a platform for local sellers to gain recognition. It’s the perfect opportunity for buyers and sellers to discover clothing that stands out from typical local stores. The event is more than just shopping; it will foster a vibrant community of fashion enthusiasts where attendees can find and build inspiration.
“Off the Rack Market will give local small businesses a chance to showcase their products and provide the community with a fashion-focused event featuring various vendors to explore,” Alex Gonzalez stated. Zale Lugo added, “I wanted to create this event to allow young entrepreneurs to display their creations and unique finds. I hope that, through this event, the vendors gain more traction for their businesses, and that customers have a memorable time.”
East Campus student Enzo Prezzi shared, “I would go to this event because I like good quality custom clothes. You can tell they put effort into it, and it’s unique. I think that’s what a market is for — to find unique pieces you wouldn’t find at other stores.” He values the rarity of market finds, which are often unavailable in regular stores.
Student Arianna Garcia also expressed her enthusiasm about local events, saying, “I love supporting local and small businesses, and I think this event is a great way to broaden my horizons with new designers. It’s an amazing opportunity to bond with friends and explore our fashion together. I’m most excited to buy vintage clothing and try foods from the food trucks.” She sees this vintage market as an exciting opportunity to create memories and explore fashion with friends. Other students eagerly anticipate the market as an opportunity to make new memories and elevate their fashion.
