Organized by Student Development, the event provided a vibrant opportunity for students to engage with various campus organizations, learn about available resources to improve their studies, and enjoy snacks, refreshments, and activities.
One busy table was the Valencia International Club. Known for fostering global connections and cultural understanding, the club encouraged student involvement and highlighted membership benefits. Students were invited to attend meetings to enjoy engaging activities and connect with peers from diverse backgrounds.
Valencia International Club President Gabriela Jimenez emphasized the club’s welcoming environment, saying, “To become a part of our vibrant community, you can join the club through the Valencia website’s ‘Student Development Engage’ section or connect with us on Instagram.”
Vice President Tasneem Shahnewaz encouraged students to join, “Everybody is invited to the club. Don’t be shy. You are welcome to this big family; just join us to have fun.”
Nathaly Munoz, Club advisor and International Admission Specialist at the East Campus, shared the club’s notable achievements. She highlighted that the Valencia International Club received the Registered Student Organization Program of the Year award from Student Development two times for their organizing of an “International Education Week” event, held annually one week before Thanksgiving.
Munoz also mentioned that the club is preparing for this year’s International Education Week, aiming to continue its tradition of excellence and celebrate global cultures with the new club members.
The club’s Instagram account and the Student Development Engage section on the Valencia website offer students easy access to information about joining and participating in the club’s activities.
