UCF Men’s Basketball played Missouri this Thursday and lost 62-59. This marks the third game in a row that UCF lost.

During this game, UCF struggled from 3-point range shooting 33.3%, while Missouri shot 42.1% from 3-point range. “Their three-point shooting from their perimeter guys was really outstanding,” said Coach Dawkins during the post-game press conference. “Their guys made some tough shots.”

Missouri in the second half led by 11 points with 6:59 left in the half. After that, UCF went on an 11-2 run to bring the game within one. A.J. Davis, who had 14 points on 5-11 shooting for the game, brought the lead within two.

However, a two point deficit would be the closest UCF would get for the rest of the game. Coach Dawkins has taken a ‘glass is half-ful’l approach to UCF’s three game losing streak. “We do a few different things right and two of the three games could have gone the other way for us.”

A.J. Davis led UCF with 14 points and Tacko Fall also contributed 12 points to go along with six rebounds. For Missouri Robertson, Barnett, and Tilmon all had over 14 points with Robertson leading all scorers in the game with 19 points.

UCF will look to bounce back from the three-game losing streak on the road when they play number 24 ranked Alabama on Dec. 3rd at 2pm.
