It is not often a minister, rabbi and an imam come together, but these three known as ‘The Three Wise Guys,’ along with Valencia’s Peace and Justice Institute, will cover important issues and hot topics in the Performing Arts Center at Valencia College’s East Campus.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2,  at 7:00 p.m., Imam Muhamad Musri, Rabbi Steven Engel and Rev. Bryan Fulwider will join Valencia College’s Peace and Justice Coordinator Rachel Allen, as they chat about current issues such as gun violence, terrorism, racial and cultural tensions, and how the world’s major religions can offer some insight.

“Friends talking faith do a beautiful job of demonstrating that even though they find common ground among their three faith traditions, they are also able to discuss issues where there is difference and they do it in such a way that promotes understanding and invites inquiry,” Allen said.

This thought-provoking, free event is open to the public, so bring your friends and loved ones as you will also get the opportunity to interact with these amazing speakers during a Q&A session.

“I think it would be interesting to compare and contrast three different unique religious views about pressing matters in the world today,” Valencia student Nicole Smith said.

Friends Talking Faith, a speaker series event by 90.7 WMFE, will certainly provide “an atmosphere of inquiry and inclusivity, and a meaningful discussion of how faith can support people in turbulent times,” added Allen.
