Concert recap: Caskey returns to Orlando to wrap up “Black Sheep Tour” at Venue 578
Orlando music fans and local musicians welcomed back Cash Money artist Caskey with open arms Sunday as he made his return to Orlando for a show at Venue 578. Caskey’s finale show in Orlando was the wrap up for his 37-city headlining “Black Sheep Tour,” in support of latest mixtape “Black Sheep 2.”
“This is not a concert. This is a family reunion,” said the 23-year-old rapper. And that is was. Performing as supporting acts were other homegrown artists NIKO IS, Burden, Marco, rap collective Swamp Posse and group KPE, who supported Caskey the entire length of tour.
While his “Black Sheep 2” mixtape was the highlight of the tour, Caskey also ran through records from the first installment of “Black Sheep,” as well as other projects. At one point in time, Caskey had more than 50 people on stage rocking aside of him. Despite the over population of the stage, Caskey never got lost in the mix and was still able to control his set and create an ecstatic environment.
