Tiger Woods withdraws from Arnold Palmer Golf Invitational
March 18, 2014
Tiger Woods announced on Tuesday that he will not participate in the Arnold Palmer Invitational this weekend, due to “back spasms and the pain.”
Woods, who won last year’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, has been troubled by back issues ever since being forced to withdraw from the Honda Classic earlier in the month due to back spasms.
The announcement of Woods’ withdrawal comes two days before golfers are set to tee-off for the opening round of play at Bay Hill.
Woods may also have bigger problems ahead of him, as he said in a statement on his website that “it’s too early to know about the Masters, and I will continue to be evaluated and work closely with my doctors.”
