Mike Epps has come a long way from his position as “top flight security of the  world,” in 2002 film “Friday After Next,” where he plays Ice Cube’s crazy cousin Day-Day.

Mr. Epps began to gain national exposure in 1995, appearing on the Def Comedy Jam tour and HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, where he would go to gain the attention of Mr. Cube; leading to the two working on three feature films together — “Next Friday,” “Friday after Next,” and “All About the Benjamins.”

He has appeared in more than 30 feature films, with his latest being thriller “Repentance,” and has starred in two Showtime Comedy specials — “Mike Epps: Underrated and Never Faded” and “Mike Epps Presents…” It has also been rumored that that Mr. Epps will be joining the cast of BET’s hit show “Being Mary Jane,” as a recurring role in season two.
