Knights are BCS bound
December 5, 2013
The UCF Knights have clinched their ticket to the program’s first-ever BCS bowl without even touching the field.
UCF is now guaranteed a spot in a BCS bowl, thanks to Louisville defeating Cincinnati in overtime on Thursday night. The Louisville win clinched the American Athletic Conference (AAC) title for UCF.
Many projections currently have the Knights playing in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, but the Fiesta Bowl and Orange Bowl are also likely possibilities.
UCF still has a game left against SMU on Saturday in Dallas before the start of bowl season, but no matter what happens in that game the Knights will be going to a BCS bowl.
