Charli XCX describes her personal style as “Wednesday Addams meets Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice meets Baby Spice”.

Charli XCX is making a stop in Orlando on her U.S. headline tour to promote her new album.

“True Romance” released in April and reached No. 5 on the US Billboard Top Heatseekers. The album, paints the picture of love from all aspects. It highlights the beauty in romance as well as the darkness of heartbreak. The album includes the hit singles, “You’re The One” and “You (Ha Ha Ha).”

The English-born singer began her career organizing live performances through MySpace. At 14 years old, Charli XCX found herself performing for very risqué crowds by night and going to school during the day.

After the release of her first album, titled “14” in 2008, Charli XCX went on to release extended plays, mixtapes and singles. She also collaborated with many other artists.

The collaboration with Icona Pop for the hit song “I Love It” became the long awaited chart topper in 2012. The song peaked at No. 1 on the UK Singles chart a year after its release and sold over 2 million copies in the United States.

Charli XCX has filled opening slots for artists such as Coldplay and Santigold, and she now has the opportunity to have someone open for her own tour.

The show will open up with indie-rock band Kitten who has also opened for No Doubt, Electric Six and Paramore in the past.

Kitten released their latest EP “Like A Stranger” in August. Lead singer Chloe Chaidez has been described as “a raw power and believability as a performer,” by Spin Magazine.

Charli XCX and Kitten make their way to The Social on Wednesday Nov.20. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available online via Ticketfly for $12.00.
