ORLANDO – Nikola Vucevic had 14 points and 14 rebounds to snatch a double-double, but the Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic 97-84 Friday night, Feb. 1.
The Magic have lost eight consecutive games and had much less assistance as they played their first game without star forward Glen Davis, who will miss 2-3 months with a broken foot.
Paul Pierce had a double-double of his own as the Celtics found ways to still win while losing their own key players such as Rajon Rondo whom went down with a torn ACL. They have improved to 2-0 since his loss in the lineup.
The Magic remain on the road as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, Feb. 2 for their next game.
