Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts celebrated the team’s win with a victory parade in Orlando at Disney’s Magic Kingdom on Monday, February 10. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 44-20 during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
The parade started at 2:30 p.m. at Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Eagles’ fans and park visitors could watch the superstar, Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy and performers waving, dancing, and carrying a banner showing ‘’Walt Disney World Celebrates Super Bowl LIX Champions.’’
Jalen was chosen as MVP and appeared in Disney’s post-game commercial saying, ‘’I’m going to Disney World!’’ The Eagles won their second Super Bowl, and as the game took place in New Orleans, Disney invited Hurts to celebrate at their closest theme park. The ‘’I’m Going to Disney World!’’ and ‘’I’m Going to Disneyland!’’ started in 1987 to promote Disney’s theme parks in Florida and California. The commercials are broadcast following the Super Bowl and typically feature the game MVP.
The last time Disney had a parade celebrating the champion was in 2021, when Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fl.
Jalen Hurts delivered a spectacular performance leading the Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs, who did not achieve a three-peat. Jalen completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards, throwing two touchdowns with one interception, with an efficiency of 77.3%, highlighting his precision under pressure. Not only this but also making a 46-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith, which increased the Eagle’s lead in the third quarter.
This victory marked the Philadelphia’s team second Super Bowl win in franchise history; also, a rematch against the Chiefs, who they had lost to in Super Bowl LVII in 2023. Hurts performance in this game was dominant to lead the Philadelphia Eagles win of 40-22.
