The biggest convention in Orlando arrives this Thursday, February 1, through Sunday, February 4, featuring celebrities such as Marvel’s tv series “Loki” actor Tom Hiddleston and many fandom activities.
With more than 140,000 attendees last year, the FanExpo convention returns to Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center covering all aspects of pop culture. The event is welcome to all ages, where everyone can have their share of fun.
MegaCon 2024 contains a plethora of celebrity actors from Netflix’s highly-acclaimed series “Stranger Things”, “Better Call Saul” actor Giancarlo Esposito, and “Star Trek” icon William Shatner. Celebrities will be doing meet & greet’s, panels with Q&A, and autographs throughout the weekend.
That’s not all. There are comic artists and writers such as “Sin City” creator Frank Miller, “Uncanny X-men” creator Marc Silvestri, and many more who will be going “Pen to Pen”, a collaborative competition performing a raffle for fans. Also, notable guests such as “Transformers” voice actor Peter Cullen will be attending.
For those who are looking for thrills alongside the main activities, there are attractions like a fully-custom haunted house by Altamonte Springs’ “A Petrified Forest” and a haunted pop-up escape room.
There are also several activities for anime fans like an itasha car exhibit which they are decorated with vinyl featuring anime characters, a maid cafe emulating an experience only found abroad, a Japanese video game room, and several cosplay meetups and contests throughout the schedule.
