The  2017 Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival kicks off this Thursday, March 2, at 12 p.m. Lasting up until March 5, the festival will contain many activities ranging from thai yoga and meditation sessions to live music performances, featuring artists such as Usher and Flume.  The festival runs through March 5th.

There will be three different main stages, “BE”, “HERE” and “NOW”. They are located in the The Grove. All three stages will hold concert performances throughout the day. Along with The Grove area, there is also an area called the Moonlight Oasis. It contains more sections such as Jungle 51, Aquachobee Beach and the ChobeeWobee Village.

For the night owls, Jungle 51 features more artists that take on a techno theme from midnight until the break of dawn. The Aquachobee Beach area allows for a place to simply kick back and enjoy the event on a bed of sand and even in the waters. In addition to the mini beach and trance music, there is also a place called Chobeewobee Village.  Chobeewobee is where festival goers can achieve a state of zen by participating in activities that gear towards healing the mind, body, and soul.

If camping out at the event is apart of the plan, one should not be concerned. Campsites are available. Food trucks and a farmers market will be at the festival to help guests fuel up. Showers will also be accessible at the cost of $5 to $7. In addition, a water station will be provided free of charge.
