UCF’s baseball team will face 10 teams in 2015 that played in the NCAA Tournament last season, including Miami (Fla.), Florida and Florida State.

In advance of the upcoming baseball season, the UCF Knights released their schedule for the 2015 season on Wednesday. The Knights are set to throw out the first pitch of the new season at home on Feb. 13 with a three-game series against Siena. The two teams also faced off in last season’s opening series in which the Knights swept all three games.

The baseball team faces a tough schedule in 2015 as they’ll play a total of 10 schools that competed in the NCAA Tournament last year, with nine of those schools coming in non-conference play.

In addition to Siena, the Knights’ non-conference schedule features eight other tournament schools in Arkansas, Bethune-Cookman, Columbia, Florida, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), Maryland and Ole Miss. The Knights will matchup against six of those tournament teams at Jay Bergman Field which is highlighted by an early season three-game weekend series against Ole Miss beginning on Feb. 27.

The team’s road schedule is highlighted by an appearance in the South Alabama Tournament where they’ll play Arkansas, Maryland and the host South Alabama on Feb. 20-22. They’ll play the second game of a home-and-home series in Gainesville against the Gators on March 3 and will travel to Tallahassee to face the Seminoles March 10-11.

The Knights will begin American Athletic Conference play on March 27-29 at home against the reigning American Championship Tournament winner Houston Cougars.

Regular season play will wrap up May 14-16 against the USF Bulls in Tampa. The American Championship Tournament will begin four days later on May 20.

The Knights have been ranked inside the top 30 in the nation in each of the previous four seasons and return all eight position players and a total of 13 seniors this season.
