Former undisputed middleweight champion of the world Jermain Taylor will look to regain a piece of the middleweight championship when he faces IBF champion Sam Soliman Wednesday Oct. 8 on a special ESPN telecast.

Taylor was among boxing’s pound for pound best after consecutive victories over current light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins, however Taylor’s career went south, when he lost 4 of 6 fights from 2007-2009, including a couple 12^th round knockouts to Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham.

Taylor took a two year hiatus from boxing, but has since rebounded with 4 straight wins, and is hungrier than ever to recapture the title.
