Justin Timberlake hits sold-out Amway Center to close out touring season
December 9, 2013
Justin Timberlake will be bringing The 20/20 Experience World Tour to Orlando.
The tour is a promotion for his third and fourth albums, “The 20/20 Experience” and “The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2.”
The first of the albums released in March, was certified 2x’s Platinum and debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 Chart. The album’s single featuring Jay Z, “Suit and Tie,” reached No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Part one set the bar high but the release of part two in September did not disappoint. It debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 Chart. Its lead single “Take back the night” reached No.8 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Billboard Chart.
Timberlake got his start with an appearance on television show “Star Search” at age 11. His career took off in 1993 when he was placed on “The Mickey Mouse Club” cast in 1993. He co-starred on the show with now top celebrities including Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling.
After a couple years on the Mickey Mouse Club, Timberlake was recruited for pop group ‘N Sync. He became the lead singer and fans quickly took notice of the group’s talents. ‘N Sync made their mark in the music world with numerous hits and became the third-best selling boy band in history, but eventually the group split.
Timberlake embarked on a solo career and released his first album “Justified” in 2002. Since then, he has landed multiple movie roles in addition to continuing to put out hit records, winning six Grammy Awards throughout his career. He has seven nominations for the 2014 Grammy’s.
He previously made stops in Florida over the summer for the “Legends of the Summer Stadium Tour” alongside rapper Jay Z.
Timberlake will perform at the Amway Center on Dec. 19.
The show starts at 8 p.m. and has been deemed a sold-out show by the venue.
